During January and February 2010 two speed checks were carried out, each for two weeks - one with a visible warning sign and one without.
An extremely detailed report was prepared covering every event every hour throughout the 28 days.
Surprisingly 37, 175 vehicles travelled through Sticker in the St. Austell to Truro direction. Again, surprisingly, the incidence of speeding was much lower than anticipated and it seems unlikely the results would indicate the necessity of a permanent speed device being installed.
