Grampound Surgery
Changes in the NHS mean that the practice will have to register with the CQC (Quality Care Commission) from October 2011. The standards set by the CQC mean that Grampound Surgery will not meet the requirements to meet the minimum standards set. The fact that the practice does not own the building and the significant upgrade required will cost far more than originally anticipated means that meeting the minimum standards would not be cost effective.
Consequently after lengthy discussions regarding alternative locations it is considered that The Merlin Centre in Hewaswater would make an ideal place to re-locate Grampound surgery. It is a new up to date centre with all the facilities required with ample parking and a bus stop outside.
If you wish to make any comments about this proposal please contact the practice manager, Mrs Debbie Barnicoat in Probus before the 27th May 2011.
