On the 19th July 2008, Sticker Churches Together (Methodist and St. Mark's) hosted a Celebration of Sticker Village Life in the Methodist Church and Hall.
The various village groups, clubs and associations manned displays of historical interest relevant to them and were able to answer questions - both historical and current - about their activities. There were hundreds - if not thousands - of old photographs and posters not to speak of old hand written minutes, orders, invoices etc going back to the 1800s. The Village Players ran a video of old shows going back over twenty years - creating some hilarity! Some of the visiting public also brought along old photographs and shared their memories with everyone present.
The church and hall were packed with people who all seemed to thoroughly enjoy the event which brought back many memories. Although not a fund raising event, those partaking in the excellent refreshments provided, donated £143 which will be donated to the Precious Lives Appeal.
